Know Your Rights: Student Loan Repayment Resumes-Legal Aid Society of Cleveland In-Person

The federal student loan payment pause is expiring this summer and borrowers will need to make payments again starting on October 1, 2023.

This presentation by Legal Aid Society of Cleveland will provide borrowers with the tools they need to navigate the return to repayment, including:

an introduction to the basics of student loans;
a look at the new income-driven repayment program that will benefit most borrowers;
an overview of loan discharge and forgiveness programs;
a review of time-limited programs for borrowers in default and those who have been in repayment for decades;
and an update on the status of the government’s one-time cancellation program.

Legal Aid will also share information about where borrowers can find additional help if needed following the event.
